the paint never dries…

One of the things I love about working digitally is that the “paint” never dries… a work created years ago (as is the case here), can be dusted off, and reworked again and again.

Recently, I revisited an M3 render from a few years ago. After adding some detail to the original Adobe Illustrator art, I applied Lichtenstein-esque colors (my current obsession) to create a Pop Art version that is playful, graphic, and a “quick read”. Days later, I made a more complex variant that incorporates drastic color shift, contrast, and detail that yields a more that implies movement and energy.

Using the same base artwork I was able to produce two very different works of art. Perhaps in five more years I’ll visit this one again!
